does anyone know how competitive fsu freshman scholarship? Is it really selective? right now im tryin to decide b/w fsu $9600 and ucf $20,000. money is a real issue as I won't be recieving much financial aid because off my family's EFC, but money is tight right now.

My CAP advisor metioned this at one point when giving her lecture.

she told me that if it’s a school that you really want to go to (FSU) and you notice that another school has offered you more aid(UCF)

you can talk with a financial advisor at the school you want to go to (FSU) and explain to them your situation and tell them how you really want to go to their school but another has offered you more and see if it’s possible they can offer you more aid.

She always says that there is no problem with asking

do u mean aid as in scholarship? if so, then i’ll definetly try askin

yea that’s what I meant lol

I don’t think it’s horrendously competitive. I believe they’ll tell their accepted students if they will receive scholarships.

Just make sure you’re not looking at which scholarship is largest, but rather which (if either) you think you’d be able to maintain and which school (include livings costs) will cost more to you personally before and after the scholarship.
