So I've been accepted to FSU's Fall 2013 term (so grateful!!!), but I was wondering if anyone has gotten offered a scholarship? I was really expecting one and now I'm kind of bummed out. I did receive an email about the Service Scholars program...any input on that?

Also, I'm still waiting for a decision from UF. I would really love to go to FSU but UF gets so much hype! Why? Any cons that might make a student choose UF over the 'Noles?

Thanks so much in advance for your input. These questions have been bugging me for a while now and after some debating, I finally registered for CC even though I've been reading it's forums for years now. What better way to get my questions answered, right? Haha! Anyway, thank you again :)!

Fewer and fewer people are offered scholarships every year. Just like people have a hard time paying for college, public universities are having a hard time as well.

I don’t know much about the Service Scholars program, but from what I have heard, it’s only a very small scholarship amount anyways, so whether you get it or not you will still need to find other sources of funding.

Speak to your high school counselor about local scholarships and speak to FSU’s financial aid department about any federal or state aid you qualify for. They will also speak to you about any other scholarships FSU may offer. I know this wasn’t very helpful, but MANY people are in the same boat as you, trust me! :(

Agricultural science, architecture, building science and engineering - UF is better than FSU or FSU doesn’t offer the major.

However, the most UF undergrads graduate with a degree in social science, then business. No compelling case can be made for UF over FSU in these areas.
