FSU vs. FIU math depts.

I'm transferring to FSU or FIU to finish a BS in math. Which one has the better undergrad (pure) math program?

I don't know anything about the specific faculty or math-related extra-curriculars at either school, nor do I know where graduates tend to go from FSU or FIU. Anyone who has experience with either department and who can provide information related to class sizes, interest level, community and activity, these answers would be MUCH appreciated.

I've had to make the transfer because I just can't afford the school I'm attending now. When I graduate I'd like to go the the best possible graduate school for pure or applied math.

I’m an EE major who was/is interested in doing a math degree. I know for sure the class sizes for the upper division are small. I’ve heard there are about 20 students or so for abstract algebra and some analysis level courses . Some interesting courses rarely get offered due to lack of demand. As an EE major I’m kind of disappointed that there is like ONE complex variables class section normally offered and ONLY for fall. I would hope FSU offers more courses. You can check FSUs math program and FIUs math program on their sites. I can only tell you about FIU.
At least one of the faculty members at FIU’s math department is from MIT.
Here’s his site: [Julian Edward - FIU MATH FACULTY](http://www.fiu.edu/~edwardj/)
