Has anyone who completed their tests received their date? Does anyone have any idea of when we will know this date?

DD completed FTCAP testing on 3/29 and hasn't heard back yet.

yea i finished mine on 3/31 and i haven't either

I finished mine on 3/17 and haven't heard back yet.

My FTCAP date is on May 24. Does anyone know any CHEAP hotels where I can stay over for 2-3 nights by myself?i I need free WiFi too.

I am coming to visit Penn State the 25th, so excited.

Are they going to give us breakfast/lunch during FTCAP?

Why are you staying 2-3 nights?
I know people who have stayed here:
http://www.lioncountrylodging.com/
I do not remember them feeding us at FTCAP.

They said it's from 7:30am to 4:00pm, and I can't get there that early. So I'll have to get there a day earlier. I also want to stay there an extra day just to wander and explore around the place a little bit, so I can miss another day of school. =]. And man... eight hours straight and no lunch?

Someone else may have more info but what I remember after the morning program they said to go to the HUB to get his ID and suggested we try the different food places there and check out the bookstore. So, there was definitely a break between the AM session and the afternoon departmental meetings when you could eat, they just did not provide the food.
The only thing is classes are over (graduation is the weekend before) so not all the food places may be open.

I can across this site that said residence halls are available for FTCAP students attending their advising date. However, it also says that these suites have two bedrooms with two beds in each. I want to know if I can live there by myself with only one room and one bed?

The suites are what they are. It says "The maximum occupancy of four persons will be assigned, unless requested otherwise by the guest." Why don't you call the number and ask if there is an additional charge if you don't share a room. (I would expect that there is.)

ftcap cards went out last week... my test date is may 25th 7:30 am, hence the need for a room the nite before

not test date, advising date...is may 25th

jackmack - I go one day before you. Where do you plan to stay?

Parking

How hard is it to park at the HUB parking deck, and how much does it cost? I notice it is right behind the Thomas building. I will not be able to get there by 7:30 a.m. if we park in Lot 44 and take the bus (I'm convinced these Admissions people must be on drugs if they expect a 17 year old girl to take a mile bus ride at that hour of the morning).

I have never had a problem parking in the HUB deck, but I try to avoid it when I know there are a lot of visitors on campus. Another option would be the parking garage on Pugh Street, between College and Beaver. (You can mapquest it to see the proximity.) I think the rate is $.75 an hour.

Thanks, but I just found the page on the website that said parking in the parking decks is $1.00 an hour. I have parked on Pugh street, but it's kind of a hike. I think we'll try the HUB deck for FTCAP day. We'll never make it in time otherwise.

http://www.transportation.psu.edu/parking/visitor/where.shtml
On this page it says you can park at the Hub or East deck & it is $1 per hour.
However, if you click on "kiosk booth" it says you can get a one day visitor parking permit. For free? Don't know. Parking at PSU has aways been an adventure.

It starts at 7:30?
