Hey there!

I'm applying for TASp and JSA this summer as a rising senior, but economics is definitely my passion... So, I found out about FTE's program :)

I've heard the admission process isn't as challenging and demanding as TASP's one, but is definitely harder than JSA's... Myth or reality?

In addition, I'm applying for summer schools because I'm a prospective undergrad intl student, and in my country is not normal for high school students to engage themselves in work experiences, volunteer work or many ECs... So I'm looking for something that will give a slight boost to my app... I know JSA is not that big of a deal for that purpose, but TASP is and I would like to know if anyone knows whether this program fits this criteria.

And I'd also be pleased to have any feedback from previous years "FTEers".

Thanks people ;)

i’ll be applying ! whats your top 3 locations?

Cornell, Ithaca, and College of William and Mary. What about you?

william & mary
cornell
emory

2/3 same, nice! ASL?
good luck though, it’d be really awesome if we both got in to the same place. my GPA is a little weak and i submitted the wrong one on my app, my school hadn’t updated them and i know it’s significantly higher than what i gave them. think i could e-mail the correction to them?

I would I mean it couldn’t hurt. I’m not sure I’ll get it because it seems to be HOBY oriented and I did not participate in HOBY. the criteria is also unclear the app is pretty minimal haha i’m 16/m

I was confused about the connection with HOBY as well, they seemed to really be pushing for the alumni but at the same time it had the, “don’t expect to be a shoe in, anyway” tone. I tried to incorporate as much of the things I had done in the past into my essay, but I wish they had let us give a resume as well.
I’m 16/f, hopefully we’ll meet at this summer!

haha definitely! keep me updated if you are accepted
