Fulfilling UC Entry Level Writing Requirement: Resending Scores?

I already have completed the Writing requirement under the UC system’s newly allowed 680+ on the Writing of the SAT 1; however, I am unsure as to what I must do for them to realize I have already completed the requirement. On their website, they state,

“Note: If you submitted a score or grade before you applied to UCSD, your score was not matched to your application. Resend your score to the Admissions office.”

Now, does ‘applied to UCSD’ refer to when I applied to UCs back in November, or when I applied by accepting the SIR?

Basically, do I need to resend my SAT scores to them even though the records of them are literally at the bottom of my tritonlink site? Or will they automatically count this for me without me doing anything?

Anyone have the same problem already?

BTW, this same question applies to resending a 650+ on Math IIC to complete the Math entry requirement.

yeah I'm kind of confused too. What does the 680+ writing requirement exempt you from? What about a 5 on AP Lit? Do Freshmen usually take advantage of these exemptions? And do they count as credit and allow you to take a higher level course?

As for your question, WayyyTooWorried, I assumed that it referred to the application you sent to UCSD (not your SIR). I think you'll be OK if it lists your test scores under the "Officially Reported" section (NOT the "Self-Reported" section). However, I would just be safe and call the admissions office to verify.

waytooworried: call them. always the best way to get an answer.

college!:I think you're just required to have a 680+ (or pass AP eng test) otherwise you have to pass a writing exam. it doesn't give you any credit or anything.

All I can say is you guys are so lucky!!!!

the ap english exams (sadly) don't exempt you from anything but the entry level writing test
