UC Writing Requirement Met?

I got a 730 on the writing part of the SAT I test

Im confused bc the ucsd site says you need to get better than 680 on the SAT II test.

How to Fulfill the UC Entry Level Writing Requirement

I remember hearing that better than 680 on the SAT I writing section is good enough to avoid the writing requirement test. Does anyone know if i have to take the test or not?

I was told they process the exemptions later so the status page is not currently accurate. However the SAT I is different from the SAT II.

as far as i know 680 or higher on sat1 writing or 3,4,5 on ap eng lit/ap eng lang = exemption ^^

Oh yeah, i saw this before.
I honestly think it’s a mistake…there isn’t even any SAT II writing anymore, from what i know.
Or maybe it’s not a typo, but i do know that a writing score over 680 on SAT I is enough to be exempt from the test, because it says so on Revelle college’s site.
(unless for each college it’s different…and that would just be weird)

xlemonpie is right about it. I’m almost 100% sure

yayyy no test for meeeeee!!!

thx

Scoring a 680 on SAT writing or a 3 on AP language or a 30 on ACT will exempt you.

If you did not, the entry writing exam, at least for me is on May 9th… day of my prom -.-

owwwww i feel for you man =(

Yeah, same here. Test is on the day of prom. Haha, good thing I dont have to take it :P

So, say I am exempt from the test because of an AP grade, but am not having my AP grades sent until after these upcoming tests. If I just skip the writing placement exam, as long as my score is in before fall semester I’ll be fine, right?
