Can anyone please recommend colleges that have full financial aid for international students. I am interested in Political Science/Government (pre-law major /option) . Also I currently have a 3.88 /4 GPA and I have taken practice SAT Test but I am currently at 1020 (because I am not used to the SAT Test Exam Structure since it is different from my educational system)
Please offer any help.
What year are you in? If you are younger than a senior, you might want to wait until you have test scores and ask again. An SAT of 1020 is going to make full aid tough to find.
How is your 3.88 GPA calculated?
I am in my last year of highschool (currently in process of college application) and I know 1020 is low for scholarships. And that GPA is unweighted, it was 3.903 but dropped due to the subjects I am doing. I have the ability to do well , its just that being non-American, im having a hard time with SAT (since my educational system doesn’t teach me to study for SAT) @DadTwoGirls
Really…with a 1020 SAT score…you probably aren’t going to see a full free ride anywhere.
You should look in your own country. IMO it would be a waste of time and money to apply to the US unless you were full pay. And even then it would be a waste of money. Many kids self prep for SAT etc, it is not a subject taught in most schools even in the USA per se. That reasoning for your low score won’t help you in any way. What country are you in?
You have to delay applying by one year, practice on Khan academy, working on each mistake, finding similar problems and doing then over and over till you can get these problems solved in under 30 seconds and correctly ten times in a row. Think like an athlete who is trying to won a championship. Practice smart and every day.
You need to find out where other kids on Bermuda go to colleges that might be affordable for your family.
I agree you should retake the SAT. Take the ACT as well. Prepare for them…but even with that, you need a Plan B for if your scores do not come up significantly. There is one…you just have to figure it out.
