Full time at Summer School?

Is 8 units total over both sessions (A & C) considered full time? Or do you need 8 units alone for one session to be considered full time?

I think it is 8 per session...

full time is i believe 8 units for both sessions......at least thats how it is for financial aid

For FULL financial aid, you have to take at least 12 units in all of summer sessions (so, 12 units spread out over sessions A and C, for example). Here's how the aid breakdown worked for the 2005-2006 Summer Sessions (amounts will vary for this year, and FAO doesn't know until the federal/state budget has been finalized).

For Summer Pell Grant aid, you have to take 12 units for full financial aid (about $1200). You can take less than the 12, but Pell Grant aid will subsequently be reduced, or eliminated.

For Summer University Grant aid, funding starts at 8 units. You'll get around...$850. The amounts of University Grant aid increases sequentially up to 12 units, where you can then get a maximum of $1100.
