While it does seem as if I’m going to be attending another college this fall, it seems as if they are having issues processing my financial aid forms. I don’t really wish to complete an associates for various reasons, but can do an additional semester at CC to fulfill more pre req requirements and gen eds. If my original plan doesn’t work out, I have a different idea in mind and I don’t quite know exactly how it will work out.
I am probably going to do 12 credits or so at my CC taking gen eds and courses such as sociology and possibly the research class my former biology professor has recommended me for. In addition to that, I want to pursue ~ 6-9 credits at RU, taking organic chemistry and fundamentals of neurobiology as RU’s orgo courses are much more challenging than my CC’s, from what I’ve heard and seen. I wish to be challenged so that I can be prepared for med school, the MCAT, and possible upper level courses.
So I guess I have a few questions:
- If I have previously been rejected by Rutgers, would I be able to take 2-3 courses there this coming semester as a non-matriculating, part time student?
- Does one still receive financial aid as a non-matriculating part time student with at least 6 credits?
- If courses are full, would I, as a part time, non degree seeking student, still be able to utilize a “special permission number”?
- Have you or anyone you know done this before?
Thanks for your time.
