I know this is extremely unlikely, but can you give me an idea of the possibility of the following:

I'm 27 and from the UK. I have a good first degree in education from a top 20 English university. I've just spent a gap year on an art portfolio building course in Scotland- which I'd guess to be about the same level as a US High School diploma.

I think I'd stand a good chance of getting in to somewhere in the UK( I've won the class prize) but funding is tricky as I've had my allowance already so I'd need to pay fees plus all my living expenses. So, out of curiousity, is there any chance of getting funding in the US or Canada?

I don't think I'd be counted as a traditional transfer student as I spent 3 years studying the same subject so I wouldn't have any of the general education requirements.

Question 1: Could someone in my situation get a full ride? I'm not fussy about the college's national/international reputation- I'd rather go somewhere with good staff and a friendly campus. Nowhere overtly religious either.

I think I've got enough to offer in terms of leadership and communication to be a real asset to a community.

Question 2: If Q1 is yes, is it possible to get in touch directly with art departments to create an interest- a bit like student athletes do?

Many thanks :)
