I've seen several people on this board who have received a full-tuition scholarship to W&M- however, they all seem to be in-state.

I live in NC and I was just wondering if W&M ever gives full-tuition scholarships to OOS students? How many go out each year? And if you have received a full ride, would you mind posting your stats?

Any information at all would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much! :)

I also live in NC and I was named a William and Mary Scholar, which covers the in-state tuition, but I think you have to pay the difference between the in-state and out-of-state tuition rates.

Thanks very much for your reply, lajoliefille. I guess that makes sense... I've seen other colleges/universities (like Clemson) do the same thing. :)

Silho_ette, you can definitely get a full-ride to W&M as an out of state student. I am fairly sure that the Scholar Award (adding diversity and/or overcoming adversity) can be given to OOS students.

But, I am 100% sure that the College Scholars Scholarship (now known as the Murray Scholars Scholarship) is given to in-state and out of state students. I was one of the four students who received this scholarship for the class of 2010, and I know of a fellow recipient who was out of state. Here is the url for the scholarship, yet to be updated, if you are curious. Hope this helps. Good luck.
