So I was applied this year (class of 2018) and was accepted to US colleges. I am from India and I took a gap year after doing the IB. I was wondering if I could get any advice on funding options? I am currently paying about $30,000 after aid and work on campus. </p>
<p>I want to fund as much of my education on my own as possible since I have a younger brother who might be applying around the same time as I finish my degree. I want to reduce the strain on my family if possible. My 12th result was not anything great (38/45) along with SAT I (1950 approx) since I was slightly distracted due to personal issues. My SAT II was better (English lit 800, Bio 750, Math 700). </p>
<p>I have been looking for scholarships open to international students but have not really managed to find any. So if any of you could point me in the direction of any that you are aware of that would be great. Also, if you know of any alternative financing options that would be welcome too. </p>
