Fundraising Ideas...any help would be much appreciated :)

Hi, I'm a junior and I qualified to go to nationals in Florida for HOSA, a healthscience organization, but it costs $1,200 and my brother is also going so it's going to be like $2,000 out of pocket with the school grants.

The advisor already emailed places for sponsors but I doubt that it'll make a dent in the cost.

So please share any ideas to raise some money.

A job.
Sorry if that sounded a bit… Harsh our like a smart ass.

But, put back. Don’t spend on things you want. Eat ramen. Stuff like that

My children earned $1000 each pretty quickly with the following projects:

Child 1 bought candy bars at Smart N Final. At the time they cost 33 cents each. He looked around for the busiest casual place in town-a BBQ place. He explained to the owners what he was trying to do (earn money for a similar program) so they let him stand in the entrance and sell the candy bars for $1 each. He had a card table and a poster explaining everything. The restaurant would periodically announce “Let’s help XX get to YY so everyone be sure to buy candy.” My son did it in 2 hour increments (during the place’s busiest time and made $1k in 16 hours (working in one month during their lunch and dinner shift).

Child #2 held garage sales. She looked around our house and among her things for what she could sell. She called relatives and neighbors and got things from them too. Our neighborhood has neighborhood-wise garage sale days so there is a lot of foot traffic. It took her 2 garage sales to earn $800. She babysat a ton during one month for the other $200. She too said money was for tuition for a summer program.

It can be done. Just think about it and be creative. It has been my experience that people want to help a person helping themselves. Good luck.

Cake sales can raise as much as $700 at my school, but everyone is pretty crazy about them becuase the cafeteria’s food is so bad

you’re going to need a lot of old junk and stuff you won’t need for this one. It’ld be best if the stuff is in good condition, but you’re not using it anyways

one of the schools in my area had this fund raiser where people would pay money to smash things up. like taking a jackhammer to a glass wall or something. of course, you might want to watch out for the safety if you do this one.
