What furniture did you take your dorms? I'm in a double at oxford with no kitchen.

Also what things did you share with your roomate? Are TV's and fridges allowed? Would renting a fridge from the university be the best/easisest option?

Your dorm room will come with a bed, desk, desk chair and dresser. You don't really need to bring any furniture. You can bring TVs and refrigerators - and it's a good idea to work out who will bring what with your roommate. If you're traveling from far away, you may want to rent a refrigerator. They have these fridges with microwaves on top.

A futon is always a solid choice to have if you can create the space. Also, you'll want a comfortable swivel desk chair because the chairs they give you suck.

Ok so a futon, TV (do most people bring one?), fridge (rent from university as i'm an Int'l), swivel chair and do you need any lamps?

Oh and will we need a fan for the few months its kind of hot in the night. Im international as well and pretty much used to having the Air Conditioner and fan on all night.

Many people who went for Orientation suggested bringing fans because it was stifling hot.
