I recently have been worrying about my school year and schedules and how colleges will perceive me as a student.
Keep in mind that most student in my school don’t have the option of AP until junior year.
Starting off badly from 8th grade, my freshmen year courses all composed of CP courses:
College Prep English, CP Environmental Science/Lab, Digital Toolkit CIP, Intermediate Algebra, CP French 2, CP World History, Intro to Digital Photography, Freshman Chamber Orchestra, Health 9/PE
(GPA-3.8872)
After freshmen year, I started to understand Honor courses and what AP means for colleges
Sophomore Year:
Honors Biology/Lab, CP English, CP Geometry, CP French 3, Honors US History 1, Intro to Drawing and Painting, Symphony Orchestra, Guitar, Driver Education Theory/PE
(GPA- 4.0)
This year will be my junior year, my schedule looks like this:
Honors Chemistry/Lab, Advanced Placement English Lang & Comp, Honors Algebra 2, Honors French 4, College Prep(was AP, but life happened) US History 2, Honors Philharmonic Orchestra, Health 11/PE
The colleges of my dream is Cornell, Buffalo, Northeastern, and Rutgers
Outside of school, I volunteer at this school that teaches kids about another nation’s culture (I’m acting TA and volunteer there, I also have a volunteer award there) and over the summer I have participated in volunteer protects with helping the homeless in other states. I have a job at a restaurant as a server and I enjoy playing music and active with artworks and drawing since I was little. Extra Curricular from school includes 2 music clubs and I got a student of the month award from school too.
I have been challenging myself throughout school but does it seems like it is not enough? Honest opinion and suggestions and criticisms would be much appreciated!
