I'm in a bit of a pickle. My GPA is extremely low because of a very, very unfortunate freshman year. Because of this, my low GPA is completely undermining the rest of my application. I'll have been in 8 APs by the time I graduate, getting As and Bs in each of them. I got 4s and 5s on my AP tests so far. My GPA trend has gone up .7 every year, but I came from a really low place so that isn't saying very much. I can graduate with about a 3.5-6 GPA, and that's what I have to work with.

I need help finding a college that I can get into. My essays are fantastic, I take difficult classes, my recommendations will be great, and I'm involved with quite a few extracurriculars, from volunteering with two organizations for 6 and 2 years, respectively, and have many leadership positions at my school.

The problem is that my dream school is U Virginia. But that doesn't seem to be in the cards for me. Otherwise, I'm looking at UT-Austin, TCU, U Washington, Syracuse, and Loyola Chicago. Anyone have any advice or colleges I haven't looked at? I need guidance.
