I'm looking to transfer from a pretty good state school where I'm carrying a 3.38 after this semester with a very solid courseload. I know the GPA isn't good, but I have lots of work, leadership, volunteer experience, extracurriculars, and will have both good essays and 3-4 wonderful recs from various people, including professors and esteemed business leaders...
HS Stats (though I don't believe UT looks at these): 2100 SAT, 3.8W GPA

My question is, I'm looking to change into an economics major- which for my dream school (UT-Austin) would mean applying to transfer to the College of Liberal Arts. I know this is one of the easier colleges at UT to transfer into, but do I stand a chance? Any recommendations on how to improve my chances?

I really appreciate the help- this is a nerve wracking process... Thanks!
