I got denied from the main TAMU main campus for engineering and was offered the Galveston option. I am deciding to attend the University of Houston for 1-2 years. If I want to transfer in the future is it best to apply for engineering at U of H or undergraduate studies to get basic courses? Is it difficult to transfer into TAMU enginerting from u of h? Are there required courses I must take before transferring? I chose U of H as I live near t and can save money from spending on housing. Thank you for reading this and any reply will be appreciated.
Also my rank is 63/666 (top 10%) and I got a 1170 on th SAT New if that helps.

You need to go to the Texas A&M forum and ask this question. Look at the left hand side of this page and click on the Colleges and Universities tab and follow it to the Texas A&M forum. You should then ask your question in the A&M transfer post. A&M has some specific transfer requirements for engineering students so make sure you understand what is required.
@technochiller If you attend Galveston, it is only for the first year, then you automatically go to College Station campus for your sophomore year, after you have applied to major. Transfering into engineering at TAMU is not going to be easy and right now, you are already accepted into engineering at TAMU. There are required courses for TAMU transfer to engineering. Competitive applicants will not have a C in any class in the last semester before applying. Competitive applicants will have grades of A or B in math and science classes.
Competitive GPA requirements vary by major, with the majority exceeding the minimum requirements.
Not all majors consider second-choice majors. Research your major of interest before applying
Your best chances to be in engineering at TAMU is to attend Galveston because you are already in it.
