G.p.a?

You don't seem to understand the concept of Early Decision. It's binding. Backing out of an early decision (other than really not being able to pay) is not acceptable. Someone, GC maybe?, should have told you about this.

So, what's your story about Duke? You explained Wake Forest and Michigan but left out Duke in your later postings. Duke has an early decision program which means that it's also binding, just like Wake Forest. My question is how could you apply to Wake Forest and Duke, both of which are early decision schools, without you knowing that it is blatantly against the rules? Also under early decision, you cannot apply to any other schools under their early action policy, which you did for University of Michigan.

Razer- he already explained that he hasn't gotten into Duke yet, only that his coach said be would most likely get in because of his sport (once again, not a guarantee). Also, you can apply to one school ED and other schools EA( as long as it's nonbinding). So UMich is fine.

I've applied for Duke but the coach is trying to get me to go there with help in being accepted so i guess it was a little snobby of me to say i was accepted at Duke when really i am being pushed by the coach and lets not forget my mom to go to Duke. And As one post said Duke does not take or have ED's.

Actually under an ED plan, you can only apply to other schools under regular admission, not early action. Asked Emory admission officers specifically about this before I applied and they confirmed.

You know what I've just realized.
I've made my college so complicated when it was so simple.
Man talk about someone sucking at something.
Whoever thought applying to colleges could be one when clearly you already have a number 1 and 2 choice.

So you mean an EA isn't binding as an ED

The grades are not too low for Emory. Are you kidding me?

So do you also think that the two other colleges I've applied to while doing ED with Wake Forest are in trouble. Am in jeopardy of losing all acceptance because I was too overzealous?

Who's mine?
Thanks but Emory's average incoming frosh gpa is around a 3.8

Oh sorry Mysoj1230, are you a current student at Emory?

Razer- I heard this from admissions that you can apply EA to other schools. You can apply to other schools Early Action if you apply to a school ED. You just have to withdraw all other apps once accepted. If you could only apply early to Emory, then explain why you're allowed to apply EA to Oxford? Can someone else helps us out, I doubt this debate is going anywhere lol.

Tobias don't worry about the other schools. UMich is in the books. For now, I guess that is your safety since you have already gotten in.

Oh and by the way congrats on your acceptance to Emory siri4fun.

Thanks Tobias! I wish you all the best in resolving this issue!
