<p>Gamecock fans will not want to miss tonight's game of the college World Series when the Gamecocks will vie for their second straight national championship. The team advanced to the final series by knocking off number one rated University of Virginia last week. Last night, they fought a hard won battle against University of Florida, winning 2-1 in extra innings. Series is best of 3, so make sure to tune in to watch tonight's game -- the team has done the school proud.</p>
<p>Yes, that waa great game and, hopefully, tonight they’ll bring that trophy back to Columbia one more time!!!</p>
<p>Potential Gamecocks should also know about the team’s good deeds. They take time from practice each year to visit a Children’s Hospital Oncology Unit. One of the children they visited several years ago is now healthy and was a bat boy this year! Ray Tanner’s Foundation raises funds to research children’s cancer. This is a good-hearted group and Tanner is not just building baseball players, he’s building men.</p>
<p>And, the fans, too. A group of Gamecock fans helped fill sand bags to help with the flooding in Omaha over the weekend.</p>
<p>There are lots of reasons to be proud of this entire team!!! GO GAMECOCKS!!!</p>
<p>I’ve watched the UVA games and the Florida game last night. USC simply amazes me.</p>
<p>They’ve thrown four double plays with the bases loaded and last nigth, Christian Walker scored the winning run with a broken wrist. Matt Price threw 95 pitches the other night and still managed to end the game last night with a solid win.</p>
<p>They’re a really strong team, though a little dramatic. 13 and 11 inning wins seem to be their thing. lol</p>

The players are going to arrive at 5:30.</p>
<p>Thank God last night wasn’t an extra inning match. I don’t know if I could have taken it.</p>

<p>Until my son ruled out Furman he was thinking it would be pretty cool to tell people when they asked him where he went to school: “BS and FU”.</p>

<p>All of my friends joke about the Furman University Christian Knights… It’s actually Paladins… but apparently that means Christian Knights.</p>
<p>I never thought about BSHS that way before… lol</p>
<p>In middle school, we used to joke about Pickens Middle School. At least Pacolet was smart enough to do the Middle School of Pacolet.</p>
<p>I start at USC next fall and I’m already a huge gamecock fan :)</p>
