At West Point, are any online video games at all allowed to be played on the school computers that they give the cadet upon arriving? Or are games strictly forbidden, whereas cadets would need to rely on facebook and youtube for fun?

that a good question, i would like to know that answer too, i find i perform best on homework when i unwind a little after each assignment...are you West Point 100%?

Yeah, 100%.

Call of Duty

YouTube - Beat Navy!!

Somehow, cadets do find time to have some fun ;)

I hear a lot of "Wolfenstein-Enemy Territory" is being played "online" in the barracks.......
BUT--if you're going to be a Plebe next year---lay off the video games, there will be enough to keep you busy!

Video games (and TV, and music) are usually off limits for the first semester, but it's entirely up to your chain of command. They can say that they're off limits, but everyone uses them anyway. Just don't get caught by the wrong person.

Once second semester starts you get more privileges, but nothing really changes. There's actually a club here at hosts LAN parties in Thayer Hall, so there's plenty of opportunity to play games.

I agree, there are plenty of people that play video games once they are allowed to second semester. Although, you do not want to be that guy who just sits in his room all the time playing video games.
