according to the website, today is the last day. still nothing :(

how much the program cost?

i wnna say approximately 1200? and thats without board

what is everyones stats; gpa and psat scores?

gpa: 4
psat: 197
Does anyone know what exactly we do in this garcia program?

apple9100 did you get accepted?

I got enrollment forms through the email today. Has anyone else received anything?
Now I’m trying to decide between Garcia and Iowa SSTP. Any opinions?

Can people (including those who weren’t accepted) post their stats to get a general idea of the qualifications sufficient for acceptance (if they can be expressed in terms of gpa+sat)

you guys were just accepted?

yep. yesterday

is there a facebook group for garcia 2011? we should all get to know each other! and are you guys dorming there?

did ppl get rejection emails yet?

Hi Guys,

So I got in, but I have already committed to another summer program. Do you know when we have to notify Garcia of our decision (to go or not), and how to notify them?

Thanks in advance.

Last year, they said to respond as soon as possible by email if you wanted to give up your spot.

I got in to the program and I’m going. Who else is going? Is there a facebook group?
My GPA is a 3.95 unweighted and i have a 227 on PSAT for those that were asking…
But I think if there isnt a facebook group we should start one.

I made a facebook group. It’s called Garcia MRSEC 2011 Summer Program

well to with one voice and anyone else,

my stats:
GPA: unweighted 4.0, weighted 4.5 ish (do other schools do that?)
psat:229
sat:2350

the program also looks at extracurriculars too though, so i think that might be a kicker.
president of 2 clubs
math competitions, SciOly, etc.
two athletic teams

Any rising juniors accepted, or has this became an all-senior program?

2 juniors in my school got accepted

^ I said “rising juniors” (aka current sophomores) … is that what you mean ?
