@elclassico So far I havent seen any New Yorkers? Im from Long Island so like this is legit my last hope at getting it.
I feel like my odds are 0.00001% though. But I commend all the finalists and wish you all the best of luck.

Question: If my child is accepted EA or ED to a school that meets full need without loans (say Harvard, Yale, or Princeton for the most well-known); is there any purpose to apply to be a GMS?
It seems like it would only cover the “self-help” portion for those cases, simply substituting for any work-study. Is this true?

@Juhnet yes we will all get emails/ letters in the mail to confirm if you have moved on to be a finalist or not

@ItsJustSchool i was wondering the same thing. I think that Yale offers a work study and if you get the gms maybe you won’t have to do the work study? That’s my guess.
I was accepted to a school that meets 100% financial need, and my odds with being a finalist for gms don’t look to good. Can anyone give us a little more insight on this topic?

@temixoxo i Have heard some people that were able to log in get their emails but others who were able to log in haven’t gotten emails as well so it’s pretty random as of now
Gates will cover your work study. My daughters school gave her a check at the beginning of each semester, it was definitely nice for her not to have to work and have more time for studying and EC’s.
