Gay Friendly

I'm only a sophomore now but I'm planning on looking into W&M next year as a possible college that I might be looking to go to. From students/parents/other's perspectives, how gay friendly is William&Mary?
Thanks in advance

very gay friendly, IMO. I remember one year I was there, a group sold shirts that said “gay? fine by me” on the front, and then got people to wear them on one day. The shirts were literally everywhere.

To see what soccerguy was referring to, check out Elizabeth’s latest blog post ([W&M Blogs Making My Outfit Matter](http://blogs.wm.edu/2011/03/24/making-my-outfit-matter/))

W&M is friendly to all types of different cultures, perspectives and lifestyles. There are several student organizations include the Lambda Alliance that act as special interest groups for LGBT students. W&M students also participated in the It Gets Better Project this past fall ([William & Mary - W&M participates in ‘It Gets Better’ project](W&M participates in 'It Gets Better' project | William & Mary)) and the Center for Student Diversity helps bring progarms and speakers to campus that represent gender and sexuality perspectives.
