Hey, I'm an up and rising junior and I'v been looking at colleges. I really like William and Mary and I'm wondering how gays are treated at W&M. I know they are very accepting towards us, but I want to know if there is a relatively big population for dating, etc. I know college is for education but i want to know how I would fit in. Thanks :)

William & Mary is absolutely a very accepting community. Just recently, our Center for Student Diversity expanded its mission to include students not only of varying races/ethnicies but also religions and lifestyles. And like any other community, William & Mary has students who are more vocal about their sexuality and some who are less so.

We advise that you contact the Lambda Alliance ([William and Mary Lambda Alliance](http://wmpeople.wm.edu/site/page/lambdaalliance)). The Lambda Alliance is a student-run organization that provices a supportive environment for the LGBTQ community on campus. They may be able to address your questions from a current student perspective.
