gay-friendly?

Is trinity a gay-friendly school? Is there a large, active lgbt community on campus?

i'm getting the impression that students are apathetic to lgbt issues?

It's more so that no Trinity students use this website.

There is a group called EROS (Encouraging Respect of Sexualities) but I don't know anything about them other than the chalkings they do during Coming Out Week.

Even though I'm sure you're capable of finding it through trincoll.edu, here's their website: EROS Trinity College's Gay Straight Alliance

Otherwise, I would say that Trin is pretty all-encompassing. To my knowledge there haven't been any issues regarding sexuality, so I suppose you can take that as a good sign.

I recently saw Trinity fairly high up on Princeton Review’s “Alternative Lifestyles Not an Alternative” list, which means it’s not considered very gay friendly. Either way, it’s probably better than say, Bob Jones University or some Baptist seminary, but if you’re really interested in it and the only thing holding you back is how gay friendly it is, it’s probably worth you visiting the campus or contacting members of Trinity’s gay organization.
