So, I guess this is primarily for current students, but anyone with a good amount of knowledge on the topic is welcome to reply:

I know that Vassar is very accepting of its (large) gay community, which is great, but I was wondering more of the nature of gay life at the campus. Are guys comfortable holding hands together in public, and the like? Is there a certain peer pressure to sleep around (promiscuity isn't great for me, as safety is very important to me)?

Thank you in advance for your honesty.

1) Guys are definately comfortable holding hands in public - even if they're not gay/bi (I love Vassar).

2) As to your peer presure question - I don't know that I would say that there's any one "group" of people who would be capable of exerting that kind of presure. As I am not a current student (Graduated 2 years ago), maybe things have changed but my experience was there were those who were super monogamous and those who well, weren't - but that's true where ever.
To be frank - if you wanted to be a slut could you be? Yes. If you want a relationship and monogamy - that shouldn't be a problem either. (I can think of three different couples -guys- who I graduated with, who were monogamous ALL through college and still are)
