GE clusters: Interracial Dynamics, Neverending Stories

Hello!
If any of you guys have taken either of these two GE clusters (Interracial Dynamics in American Society and Culture, or Neverending Stories: Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Myth) could you tell me what you thought of it? I want to know what it was about, how interesting it was, what the workload was like, etc... Thanks in advance! (:

Dear freshmen:

Do not take clusters. They’re a lot of work and not worth it for what you gain from it. Take other, random, fun GE classes that are easy and that you enjoy.

I had several friends take the Myth cluster. Generally they said that it was interesting material (the last quarter it was a seminar about sci fi and myths I think), but pretty difficult and way too much work. You’re better off taking your GE’s as individual classes. Classics 30 is a mythology GE if you’re interested in the subject.

From my experience, I really disliked the Myth GE Cluster. I think dropping out of it early was one of my best academic decisions last year. Not everyone has that experience though. Sure you get like what 5 GEs or something out of the way, but for the work it may not be worth it. Not to mention it’s 6 units so if you have a slip up on a test or essay, your GPA takes a hit. I second the taking individual classes, but that’s just my opinion.
