GED or high school diploma?

I know I’ve posted this question many times, but I still need more replies!

First of all, I will be going to community college for the first one or two years, that’s for sure. Second of all, when community college looks at a person’s transcript, it WONT MATTER whether they have an HS diploma or a GED! Community college will accept both.
The person with HS diploma has worked really hard for 3-4 years and is now 18 years old.
The person with GED is 16 years old.
Person with GED worked less, person in HS worked so much more, and they are both going to community college.
So what is the point to work your butt off in HS, when I can get my GED at 16, and then I can finish college earlier?

By the way, I AM NOT for what employers think of GED, because I want to transfer to a 4 year school after 2 year college, and once I’m done with college, all will matter is my college degree, not my GED/HS Diploma.

AND PLEASE! When you answer please explain why I should do either one! Please include a reason, BUT DO NOT INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING REASONS: (I already have answers for those)
-“Don’t rush through high school, enjoy your time.” For me, school is about academics and “fun” and “social life” are outside of school.

-“GED is for stupid people.” Well, again, I’m going to apply to a 4 year school as a transfer, and they will look at my college work and test scores! Also, if you still want to answer this, please re-read my entire post because it explains why I want to choose GED.

-“High school prepares you better for college.” Well, if you go to community college it doesn’t matter whether you went to high school or got a GED.

and please only focus on the academic arguments, not the “social life” and “fun” arguments.

I know this is an old post, but just wanted to add that in our state, anyway, if you complete a year of college, you can get a diploma from your high school.
