<p>ok these might sound silly , and i'll probably get to them eventually, but i guess i wanted more info.
1. can we eat in Geisel. I mean say if none of my friends are available, can I just eat in Geisel, particularly floor 1 [the basement]... i do see people eating there, but it always seems like back in high school.. lol they are like "sneaking" food or something...</p>

<li><p>There are signs explicitly posted everywhere in the library (including near the main entrance at the SSH circulation desk) saying what kinds of food are permitted and what kinds aren’t. For the most part, few people read the sign and few people enforce those rules. If you want to be on the safe side, only eat ‘snack’ foods (i.e., not hot, not messy, etc.)</p></li>
<li><p>You mean reserves? Use the computer to the right of the SSH circulation to see if your textbooks are being held on reserve.</p></li>
