There was a post that I now cannot find (urgh) about gender spectrum options in regard to college applications. Another mom was just telling me yesterday about Ithaca emphasizing that you can choose your pronoun. She said it is stated openly on their website, so I wanted to share that. That in addition to the gender openness at Pace I mentioned on the other thread. Hope that helps!
It was a post on the general “class of 2023” thread. The person asking the question was called @genderequality , so I will tag that person and hope they see this!
My son is at SUNY Fredonia. When I was there for orientation last year, I wound up chatting with two moms of transgender kids - one male to female and one female to male. Both said their children had chosen the school for its seemingly welcoming environment. Res Life was working with both students to get them into dorms, etc. where they would be welcome and safe. My son is cis male (a phrase I literally never heard of before he started school there) and his roommate of 2 years is gay, as are two of his suite mates. He says that the environment is open and welcoming. Pronouns are encouraged and he has corrected me a couple of times in our phone conversations when I say the wrong thing.
