General question about stern's admission

Hi. I am an Asian rising Junior (specifically Korean) who wants to go to Stern! Here are several questions, and it will be great if people specifically who got admitted to Stern answer these questions.
1. I heard there is 'less' disadvantage for me being asian in college admission... is it true?
2. What is the general range of GPA for admission? I know people saying 'what really matters is whether or not stern want you', and blah blah blah, but I just want to know the general range of GPA. My GPA is not as high as I expected it would be, about 3.68 I think. I think I can pull up my gpa to about 3.75, hopefully ( I am taking a lot of hard classes next year, and I have taken the hardest classes possible, which was kind of hard for me as I just started studying in US last year second semester. (so my second semester in freshman year). That is the excuse for me struggling in GPA, with all the hard classes that I had to take. But also another reason is because I did not put in my full effort. I will admit that. :)
3. My SAT will be pretty high, in the general range of accpetance I think. I am, and I will be studying really hard for SAT, studying vocabs and stuff. I got 206 in psat, and I am pretty sure I can pull up to over 2200 and maybe 2300. (If I can't, I will try taking it in senior year; I would literally put a lot of effort in sat because of my low gpa(screw my soph year...). I know that it is high enough, but is it high enough to kind of 'cover up' my low GPA?
4. For AP tests, I took WH, and Macro Econ, which I probably got 4,5 and 4,5. I would have definitely got 5 in macro had I not skipped the last page and not solve the last long answer question (STUPIDEST MISTAKE EVERA) but I may even end up pulling 5 because I did pretty good in Multiple choice questions. And next year I will take AP Calc, AP Psych, APUSH and maybe AP Environmental science. and i think Micro Econ too. Is that 'enough' aps? What APs are suggested?
5. For SAT2, I took WH this year, and next year I will take SAT2 math, which I will probably get 800, (yeah I am asian, so...lol). I want to take one more, any suggestions?
6. My EC will be okay, but not strong to be a 'hook'. I will be a section leader in orchestra, a captain in math league and robotics club, and maybe chess club. I don't really know. And I will participate in FBLA, which I would do pretty good and expect some awards. I know that I need EC related with fundraising, but I don't really know how to start. Does it matter if I don't have that much of 'economy' related ECs?

I really wrote A LOT, man I did not think I will write this much. But it will be great if you answer the following questions. I have recently been going to nyu cc, and some of the sternies are really kind to answer any questions. Thank you for all the information you guys are giving. They are great help.

No idea. I’m Asian, though, and I made it. And from what I’ve read, Stern does have a pretty significant percentage of Asians.

Not sure about the “official statistics.” For me it was ranked 21/349. 4.76/5.00 weighted GPA (4.00 for A in CP classes, 5.00 for A in Honors, 5.5 for A in AP class). If you do well in the AP classes you have scheduled, you should be fine from a GPA standpoint.

If you really want SAT score to “cover-up” GPA, you should definitely shoot for 2300+ or 35+ on ACT. But 2200+ is fine if your GPA is decent, which it seems like it will be.

Definitely enough APs (I took less: BC Calc, Chem, Microecon, English Lit). At least in my school, AP Psych and Environmental are considered the “joke/pushover/easy” AP classes. Dunno how it is for your school, but I imagine if you took Physics/Chem/Bio instead, it might look a slight bit better.

Go for a SATII science to balance it out. You won’t need to have taken an AP class to get 700+, but do buy some practice book and work in it a little (no need to do every single topic/problem) and review notes from a regular Honors class (that’s what I did).

I don’t think it really will matter if you have any “economy” EC. I didn’t really. The closest thing I had was just a small-time member of a school club that raised money to help African women start businesses. It’s not like I really did anything except buy stuff and donate. Community service would help, though, because as I start to get ready for freshman year, it seems NYU puts a lot of emphasis on making sure its new students get involved with community stuff. Volunteer, and try to do it in a unique way. Tutoring is always a decent option, and you can probably get away with being paid but still recording it as community service. Also, just join some community service club in your school. It won’t have to be a huge commitment.
