USC does not accept by major; they accept by college e.g., Viterbi engineering. Your SAT and unweighted GPA are both on the low side for USC overall and especially Viterbi where they tend to be particularly high. (I believe the GPA is grades 9-11 not 10-11).

@GamerGal27 so would it be beneficial to put a major outside of viterbi for my alternate?

I agree that your SAT and GPA are low for any engineering discipline.

Also, USC is private, can you afford their tuition and fees of over $60k per year?

You can put another major from another college as an alternate but there is no guarantee that USC will even review it for it. They get so many applications that some colleges don’t have the resources to review the second choice.
