Does anyone now if the general scholaship awards have gone out yet? Last time I called the school - they said most of them don’t go out until just after the FAFSA deadline.

Also - do they show up in Tiger i right away? DD’s Charter Scholarship is listed there - but so far nothing else. We’re hoping for a departmental scholarship and crossing our fingers for an outside chance at a small general scholarship as well.

Any information would be helpful - I don’t want to keep pestering the school for information.

My daughter got a Charter and was alerted a while ago via mail. She also applied for a COSAM scholarship and heard from them sometime February-ish that she was a recipient - it was a “one year, you have to reapply each year” type of scholarship. I called the school yesterday to find out about General Scholarships. I was told that since most are tied to the FAFSA, as long as we filled that out on time and qualify, we would start hearing about General Scholarships after 4/1 - online on that date (only if you paid your deposit, which we have not since we are waiting on FA to make those decisions) or via snail mail if no deposit had been sent in. So we are anticipating hearing something the first full week of April via mail since we live so far away - NJ.

Not sure if this is really an update - but checked D’s on-line account for Auburn - her FAFSA award was there (which is only the standard unsubsized loan) - and the Charter she already received. I guess this means she didn’t get a general scholarship. BUT - we are still hoping for a departmental scholarship. She is a Ag student - and their notificiations won’t go out until April 15th… more waiting.

We still have heard nothing via mail. Made our deposit yesterday online - still waiting for our login info so we can check to see if any “general scholarships” were awarded.

No general here either. My D got a departmental a month ago or so. I did e-mail Auburn a couple of weeks ago and was told generals were scheduled to sent via snail mail on April 1.

Just put a call into the scholarship office. Was told by Rebecca that the scholarship letters were indeed sent out last Thursday, April 1st. You will only get a letter if you are a recipient of a general scholarship - otherwise you get nothing. You can also check your account online if you’ve paid your deposit. (We did but have not yet gotten that login info.) If you are lucky enough to have received a general scholarship, it would be posted there as well. We live in NJ so at this point, if something doesn’t arrive by tomorrow I guess nothing is coming…

They have indeed been mailed and our child rec’d one on Tuesday in Florida. It is a one year $1,500 - in addition to the Charter. We have not filled out FAFSA so it is not tied to if/when you filled that out. Good luck to everyone! Those are the things which when one is waivering can make a difference.
It also shows up online. Maybe they post them in cycles:).
