I moved to San Diego last year to take my general ed and major prep at the local community programs, then to, hopefully, become accepted into SDSU. I took classes previously at a non local college before, but I plan on taking 100% of my transfer classes at sdcity. My counselor told me that I still can't do the TAG agreement because I am a "transplant", whatever that means.

The last two semesters I have received a 4.0. I was following the IGETC, and not the CSU-GE plan. My major allows IGETC usage, but my counselor told me to just use CSU-GE, which means that there was a class I took this last Spring that I didn't need and could have taken something else. Through the IGETC that class does count. Does anybody else have that issue?

Paleontology is my dream major. Yes it is an impacted major at SDSU. I cannot get into the TAG program and there is no AA/AS-T for Geology. SDSU is the only college in CA that offers Paleontology as a degree, and I already moved about 10 hours away from home to attend this college. This is my dream college.

That being said, I was wondering what my chances would be into getting accepted into SDSU. I know this year they had around 78,000 applicants and only 7700 open spots. However, I didn't hear a single thing from anyone applying into any Geology major. I'm wondering what my chance of getting in is if I continue receiving close to a 4.0 every semester?
