I visited George Washington today and I liked it alot, and I definitely think i can get in, but I want to get a some sort of scholarship because I probably wouldn't qualify for Financial Aid. I have a 3.7 and will definitely end up with over a 2000 on my SAT's, what are the odds I would receive a scholarship from the school?

Hard to tell. Are you RD? Is the 3.7 unweighted? If yes to both of these…then a decent shot. I have heard there is a formula that they use to determine this so it probably depends on the pool of applicants for any given year. BTW…my D is at GW as a freshman this year and absolutely loves it! Good luck.

My 3.7 is sort of weighted, my AP’s are weighted on the honors scale (A in AP = 4.25), and I’m only a junior visiting but I absolutely loved it. My only concern was cost, since I wouldn’t fall under the financial aid realm. I’m going to apply for scholarships, I was just curious how generously George Washington handed out there scholarships, and what the qualifications were.

I don’t fall in the financial aid category but since I applied ED2 I hoped for something a little more since I have a sibling at college as well. I got 7,700 for the year.

EricSu what were your stats?
I heard they base their scholarships on that.
