Hello All,

I have been following this thread for a few weeks now and since I was also accepted today I figured I would start a thread designated for new transfer students. You can find it in the George Washington University forum, under “Tips for new transfer students?”

@2011 Transfer
It is a closed group. I can’t join it :/

Oh no! well how about we just make it a fan page then? so people can easily just like it

maybe 2011 tranfer 11 would be willing to make one? or anyoe

sorry I am really bad with facebook. Is it working now? I just made it an open group

Just in case some of you were not aware, there is a button on the top right that says “ask to join Group”. Click that and 2011Transfer can accept you.

oh ya. It was a closed group before. and now, it allows us to request (:

Yay! The group works! (I’m horrible with technology, too. I joined Facebook because my friends begged me too, but I only have five friends. One is my mom and one is my grandmother, haha.)

I am going to cry!! I just found out I was accepted to GW and I’m so happy, but I already made plans to move to Austin next weekend and finish my associates at Austin Community College and then to UT for Spring. I have no idea what money will look like for GW. It worries me a lot. I don’t know what’s going to transfer yet and I just feel so overwhelmed. I am transferring from community college accepted as a psych major, had a 3.86. I know I’m lucky and should be ecstatic, but all I feel like doing is crying from all the stress! Thank god for you all in this blog!!

Does anyone know if housekeeping is back?

Does anyone know anything about the Psychology dept at GW undergrad? I want to know if it’s a great school for that and if they are more counseling based or more science and research based! Please let me know. Now that I was accepted, I am waiting on financial aid and to see is it worth the money and have a good name for psych?

Hey NY27intx…I think the thing that might be stressful is the financial aspect of this whole thing…I was waitlisted to GW which is annoying (after waiting for SOOO long to hear the decision) but in the back of my mind it is relieving to know that I wont have to pay 50 grand a year. I wish you luck and congrats on getting in. I think you have to just to think about what will make you happy and less stressed in the end.

I was excepted into tech,maryland,and mason so i might just pick from one of those since i have to wait till JULY to hear if they have a spot for me…congrats to every who got in…waitlisted ppl just hang in there and those rejected dont give up!! every college is different (plus you wont havve to pay a butt load of money haha )

@cutedanzr which school are you waitlisted at?
