**George Washington Transfer 2011 Thread**

@yankee13

noo and no need to be worried lol

rcm987, wow, that’s simply wonderful. So the one with a high gpa gets all the goodies. Thanks for the info.

I hope we get our package today…it’s been way to long

Is anyone trying to find a roommate? If so let me know. I did hear that on campus housing was already to capacity.

hey everyone,

has anyone following this thread not received an admissions decision yet?? I still haven’t heard anything. My application status still reads “under review…”

@CSilverm When did you apply, and did you send in materials late? Transfer decisions were mailed last week…I would call and see what’s up. On a side note, I still haven’t received anything in the mail…I probably should get a job so I can stop thinking about it. To those of you who half got their packages, were they mailed through first class and when was it postmarked. I ask because it should take only 3 days to arrive at most by first class mail.

@rcm987

Was the merit awards such as presidential award listed in the acceptance package or was it only listed online?

@Yankee13-All my materiales have been in since April 1st. I called the admissions department this morning and they said that my application just hasn’t been updated yet but that I should be receiving an admissions decision by mail this week. So here’s to hoping!

I don’t what postage it is Yankee but I do know it mailed out Thursday June 2nd. I got it Friday but I also live in Maryland so it’s not like it was a long trip.

@CGCC26 what did the pakage look like and was it informative? I feel so lost lol i have no clue about housing/roomates, CI etc I just want to be debriefed lol

@Yankee13–Mine was postmarked June 2nd! I also got it on Friday…
@ellomeno–it was a big white envelope, you cant miss it! and it has your transfer credit evaluation, declaration of intent, and letters from the dean as well as one from your specific school.

@ellomeno

I wouldn’t worry about housing since the application won’t be available to us until June 20th. Also, I believe there’s a CI for transfers in late August

What is concerning is that housing might be filled up already, I wonder if that’s true…

To those who haven’t received their packets…where do you live?

California :frowning: this is annoying I hate waiting!

@ellomeno I know right…my mailman practically knows me now lol.

@yanke13 lol

does anyone know how many transfers applied this year and how many where accepted

I’ve seen people on the Facebook group closer to GW than me who have not received it, and people as far as Seattle who have already received it…doesn’t make any sense to me. Some must have gone out on Saturday. @ellomeno check previous posts someone who got waitlisted posted the number of applicants.

NY here and still have yet to receive my package. Tomorrow should be the day though…I hope

it’s not here yet…

Nothing today either…maybe if I stop expecting it to come it will come lol.
