**George Washington Transfer 2011 Thread**

My application is still under review on the website.

Grrrrrrr

mine was changed to “under review” only about a week ago -_-
They were really slow updating my application status.
Should I expect June? lol

well so far there’s only been acceptances and waitlists for Georgetown transfer applicants. No one has been rejected yet! UVa and William and Mary also got their decisions all out on 4/29! so unfair…

well W&M apps were due earlier, but still so unfair Georgetown kids are even hearing back… what the heck GW lol

okay so I called them this time because of all the different answers I was getting to when the decisions would be released, and they said they were still working on the decisions right now. He also said that it is definitely going to be checked online and will be in 2-3 weeks so we can start freaking out in mid May.

@isharmie yeah they said a couple of weeks, so it is online? not thru mail?

nope, they said that it would be checked online, and then i guess the letters would come in mail afterwards.

I just called and they said that they haven’t sent any decisions yet but they will be sending them in the next two weeks.

I was a transfer student last year. I would not be checking your application status incessantly. Most of us found out last week of May to first week of June last year.

Hey! so I have a friend who who applied to georgetown as a transfer and she expects to hear by June 1st. She recently had her georgetown interview. Who/where/how did you hear that georgetown applicants are finding out about there decisions? if so did they find out via postal mail or email?

Thanks.

@MAella10, well if you look at the Georgetown university transfer thread, some people have been getting decisions. also, one of my friends has already gotten a decision. apparently, they have been receiving only emails so far.

oh ok I’ll tell her to look @ the thread. If you don’t mind me asking did she get in? I thought gtown sent out decisions via postal mail, in a small but think envelope. @least that is what some of my friends who have transfered and go there now said that’s how they found out

Yes she did get in, into the School of Nursing and Health Studies. Everyone has been saying that they are getting their decisions via email right now; the envelopes will probably come later!

Hey guys im also waiting! Im a CC transfer with a 3.5~ gpa. I applied to Elliot school, Int. relations major! Hopefully we get in! I emailed them countless times and they said they are deciding in early to mid may! So all we gotta do is wait.

I’m a CC transfer too. Incoming Junior with a 3.9 and 45 credits (poly sci major). My transfer app has been under review since mid- April so I’m hoping to hear something soon. Deposit deadlines are coming up and this is basically the last school to get back to me. Not my first choice, but certainly would be my likely destination over schools who have already accepted me (NEU, W&M, Fordham). The possibility of living and learning in D.C would be too good to pass up!

AnthonyJeffrey,

When you received your admissions packet did it contain information on financial aid and credit transfer or was it just to notify you of your admittance? Thank you!

My acceptance package did not contain my FA award. However, I was in a unique situation. Good luck!

has no one else heard? this is soooo irritating I was hoping I would’ve heard today (unrealistic) but still… I want to transfer goshdarnit

yea its getting rather annoying and stressful but we’re not going to hear anything for 2 weeks…just wish they would just tell us now!

seriously! and I realized I don’t have 60 credits so now i am a sophomore transfer so i am def screwed
