I just called and got the same ‘hang tight’… so yeah, it doesn’t look like it is today… all I can say is WOW… I know I shouldn’t be surprised but I am… WOW…
Oddly though they were confident enough to paste on their FB page that Monday would be the date… So disappointed… Looks like they’re going to play the game this week too…

This s such a waste of time. The admission s not doing a good job here. I submited all my documents on March. They lost my transcript at first and never gave me a notice until May 9th. Then, withdrew my application. I had to argue w them so they could put my case back under review. Now, they juz want me to hang tight… Did anyone apply to nscs scholarship of gwu? Does anyone know how it works?

Yeah, this is annoying. Students accepted this semester passed May 31 should request a deduction in the $800 dollar enrollment fee.

The first four times I called (throughout last week): “Decisions will be out by Friday.”
Today’s person: “You’ll be notified by the end of this week.”

:(

It says on their Facebook page that they are releasing decisions today. That’s weird

Maybe their plan is to release them today, but they’re hesitant to tell callers that after what happened on Friday? Doesn’t explain why they posted it on Facebook, but it’s some hope…

Yeah they posted on Friday that today would be the date but the admissions office is saying differently… Its probably what Sarey says - they don’t want to commit because of what happened Friday.
I’ve gotten different answers today, some said it will be tomorrow, others said majority will go out today. No idea what’s going on but one thing for sure - it does NOT look good on them to change stories so often. I guess they can say ‘take a hike if you don’t like it!’

Hi guys. I just called a few seconds ago. They said that decision gonna come out today. I asked again at the end of calling, but they said it will be today. So i think the decisio will release today. Good luck to you guys. I hope we can get positive answers from them.

Did they say what time?

12:20 p.m.(in california time)

I just called the Office of Admissions again and Brandon said that the decisions should be hopefully out tonight. They are simply waiting for Financial Aid to get back to them with emails. I am not sure what exactly that has to do with it unless the award packages will be released at the same time of the acceptance/non-acceptance notices. However, I am not hopeful today than I have been any day leading up to this point! Stay positive guys… he said, “I am truly praying that the decisions will be released tonight. I can’t imagine what it’s been like for you guys. I think it should be tonight.” He also said that the email notifications would probably come by end of business, which is 5:00pm; however, that too is not concrete.

They actually gave you a time??

That’s in about 20 minutes!

I highly doubt they’ll work into the night to get everything posted. Someone in an earlier post did say that when she called, they said Monday OR Tuesday.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t hear anything today. =(((((

Whether or not I am accepted has become less important to me…I now just am tired of playing the waiting game and want to know one way or the other. I am staying positive we will hear today.

Just called again and was told tomorrow. I think I’m just gonna give up on calling and just live my life until I find out haha.

ok for the sake of everyone’s sanity I think we should just not call them anymore. I just spoke to brandon and he said that the date is still today. Seriously though, I would NOT want to work answering phones at GW’s admissions department because its not their fault! The admissions committee goes over the applications and they’re the one’s screwing up!
Anyway I have a feeling today will be the day…
HANG IN THERE =D

From past experience I am fairly certain that even if the decisions came out today or tomorrow, those that are accepted will not receive financial aid packets until a later time. I doubt that they are taking this time to put the two together- they never have before.

I’ll tell ya, it is so frustrating that they separate the tranfer acceptances into two groups. It is worse, though, that admissions staff need several weeks between the two before they can finish it up.

Schmohawk, you there?

as of 4:12 p.m EST, my portal still says under review. hopefully todays the day :/

When I spoke to them they said that one of the reasons its late is because they were trying to send the financial aid packet along with the acceptance letters but WhamBam’s thoughts sound more realistic. I mean we’re talking about a bunch of people who are weeks behind what they originally said they would do. I think we should be ecstatic if the decisions given today and forget about the aid for a few more weeks.
Please post on here when you get the email notifications.

@ PinkieGirl – That sounds practical! If that is indeed the truth I am much less optimistic about decisions being released today. Last fall, students that were accepted around May 31 did not receive financial aid packets until early-mid June.

I agree with the statement regarding a cease-fire on admissions. It feels good to hear that the answers we have been waiting for will be released today, but unfortunately, the secretaries that answer the phones are not very engaged in the actual process- hence the wildly varying responses.
If you can get in touch with Alex Trempus (he is somewhat in charge and VERY reliable), then we might get some real answers.
