Financial aid dreams can come true!!!

When does GT release decisions? Any known date/time?

People have suspected, with sources in the financial aid office, that letters are being mailed today. It took 2-3 days (can’t remember which) to get to New York from the date on the letter.

@CSIHSIS I’m so happy for you! I know you were worried about having to wait so long because of turning in your IDOC so late!

I got my finaid today too and my dreams were not answered as well as yours seemed to have been. It was ~10,000 off of my EFC and ~6,000 off of the net price calculator.

HOWEVER(!) I’m not giving up hope just yet and we’ll see what happens…

again, congrats of the finaid! I know you’ll be so happy at Georgetown! :)

Just wondering, I’m also looking for finaid or I can’t attend.
have applied to tons of silly little scholarships late in the night when I didn’t have much homework. Now I realize that I have not been tracking those random websites and stuff…so I don’t know when I’m supposed to be hearing back from them. The biggies (10K and up) I kept pretty good records.
Anyone else hoping for a flood of scholarship emails (like I am) at the last minute (now would be nice) to make up the difference between parent $, my $, school money and the cost of full price attendance? For example, I just remembered that I’m in the running for National Honors Society. How could I forget that? So crazy.

What service does georgetown use to send mail? Because I got my letter from American on Tuesday and they sent it on a Thursday. So how do they guarantee everyone knows by Monday?

Does Gtown send decisions via email or mail?

OK my decision got easier now that the Ivys are out

@pinkie12 I’ve heard from others that we will hear via mail. Fingers crossed!

Hey guys! I was in your position just last year and I just wanted to wish you all good luck! I got my Georgetown letter of acceptance on March 29, so you guys should start receiving letters tomorrow. I’m so happy at Georgetown and I hope that you all get in! Can’t wait to meet all you future hoyas next year!
Hoya Saxa! :)

Any Idea when International Applicants can expect decisions? Someone at the admissions office said that we’d be receiving decisions by e-mail, so does that mean around the same time that Mail is sent out to domestic applicants or is there like a delay in sending out the e-mails?

March 29 ^^. That was last year at least

@Hoya803

Thanks! Another day of waiting :)

I mean either way Ivy day will trump them, so maybe notifying everyone after means all of the Harvard rejects will be happy and want to go.

You Gtown applicants sure are talkative…

I thought Gtown mailed out letters on Tuesday this week!

Do letters come as they come are all we all supposed to someone get them on the same day?

Wait, today is Good Friday and G’Town has a holiday today so does that mean we have to wait for another 3 days until Monday?

I’m an International applicant to the SFS, btw.

If you’re international they’ll send you an email by or on Monday the 1st, that’s what’s written on their website.

Nothing in the mail in NC.

Nothing in today’s mail - long island
