@LunaHoyaGold, if history is a good predictor, then like last year they will send it out in order to arrive by the 15th. Since the 15th this year is a sunday it should be interesting, but last year some got letter early and was sent the 12th (a wednesday) and arrived the 13th.

Oh well. I just wanted to use the decision as fuel to my “last standardized test ever” fire on Saturday

Ah I’m so tempted to email hoyablue15. Is this legit? I can’t believe it!

Can anyone confirm if this is legit?!

It’s most definitely not legitimate.

I haven’t received any contact whatsoever from the office of admissions, other than the cursory, thank you for applying email.

OK, I guess I might as well wait. I’ve always waited for the grand moment when I rip open my letter and fling around my golden ticket (hopefully).

I feel like the whole letter thing will be a disappointment because if it’s an acceptance, you’ll know from the heft of the package. If it’s a deferral it’ll be a really thin, lightweight envelop. Sigh.

I thought that you can’t tell by the envelope? I’ve heard that acceptance letters are deceptively thin.

I told my mom that I have a monopoly on the mailbox until Christmas. I want to have my moment.

hmmm, if they’re all the same thickness then that’s awesome! no spoiling the surprise. when i was rejected from my school’s NHS, i knew before opening the letter since it was so thin compared to my friends’ letters (sad face).

i’m having my dad record all my reactions to my decisions. they’ll be fun to look back on…maybe 10 years later. or maybe the mortification will never die. who knows.

When you login to MyAccess account from the summer program, do you see an “Applicant” tab?

Does anyone know if the letters will be mailed today or tomorrow?

Georgetown is closed today. I hope it doesn’t affect us too much.

hi! new to cc yay first post
but yeah theres a crazy snow storm in the maryland/dc area
we haven’t had school for the past two days

Maybe they’ll use the day off to stuff letters…:D

Yeah I guess they’re closed, I’ve been trying to call. Is it only by mail, or do they email decisions too?

If I had to guess I’d say that the office being closed today will affect letters, but IDK.

Nooooooooooo that would make my life all the more painful

Last year Sandy delayed mail for some applicants. This year there is a snowstorm in DC that has practically shutdown the city. . . . yay.

the MA area is having a pretty severe snowstorm, but school hasn’t been closed or delayed because the snow plowers actually were on top of everything and prepared for once.
