Well if I’d known that earlier it would’ve saved me from the awkward situation of going to beg my teacher to upload the rec yesterday only to find out she was in the middle of dealing with a family emergency…

submitted my app a couple minutes ago! so exciting! off to figure out how to get an interview (they still haven’t sent me any info regarding that). guess i’ll call the office tomorrow.

There’s so many apps I have to go in to work tomorrow to start filing all of them. #life

@CSIHSIS how did you get a job at the admissions office/what does your job entail? (other than filing apps)

wave to my app for me please! i miss him/her already :’(

I just took my SAT 2s today. I had my World History score from before.
Hate to say this but they didn’t go that well. Would they defer me based on two subject tests if my general SAT score and grades are high overall?

Does anyone know if the letters will be sent out on December 15 or arrive on that date?

Fun fact: today I woke up at 5:30 to see Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and Laura Bush all speak about Afghan women’s rights.

More fun fact: if I didn’t jump the line to where my friends were, I wouldn’t have gotten in.

Hey guys-- chances of me getting in with 1970 SAT but submitting no SAT 2s? Great Perfect GPA and amazing ECs?

Amazing is subjective, and a perfect GPA with that SAT score is sketchy (for me at least). Why no subject tests?

I had submitted my regular decision application prior to the ed deadline and was just contacted for an interview. Is there a possibility that, despite my app being for the regular deadline, I may get it early? I thought I remember hearing about that happening in the past and thought I’d check here to see if there was a possibility of getting an early decision for a regular application… Thanks in advance

No, if you applied RD you’ll find out RD.

decisions are by mail right? when do you think we’ll get them? Can’t be the 15th since it’s a Sunday. Monday the 16th maybe if they send it out the 13th?

Do I need to notify them when I send in new SAT scores from the College Board website or register for a new exam? And if so, how?

Err on the side of not bothering the office.

They have contacted me before I contacted them. Problem solved.

I just got an email from my regional counselor asking me about my choice of major. It was obvious from the email that she had read my essay. Hard not to read into that at this point…

Whats the deadline for submitting test scores for early action?

Wow, this thread is basically dead. I have been lurking the last year class thread and from what I have read from it is that Georgetown sends out the letter in the mail the last day of classes. That is tomorrow, so the letters for most should arrive this upcoming week.

In that case, good luck to everyone!

I think they might send it out the day exams begin. Last year classes ended on the 7th and exams began on the 12th (Wednesday). People began getting letters on the 13th. The timeline fits. This year, classes end on the 6th, and the 11th is Wednesday. That would be more in line with last year’s mail out.

Of course, I sincerely hope I’m wrong! The wait is killing me, especially because I will be out of town from Friday to Sunday next week, so I will have to wait even longer for my letter. :(
