***GEORGETOWN CLASS OF 2021 APPLICANT THREAD***

Where are the essays located?

Does anyone know if the letters could be sent tomorrow morning? So could I see mine before I go to school tomorrow morning?

@luvquizbowl I think that depends when your mail comes in. Mine doesn’t come until 1-2 in the afternoon.

Okay lol I don’t really know when my mail comes so we’ll see. Good luck y’all

@SquadraAzzurri Thank you! That’s very helpful.

It said on the Georgetown Admissions Facebook that they mailed the results on Tuesday. So I’m thinking I will probably get mine on Friday as I live in NY.

Has anyone’s guidance counselors received news like past applicants have said they might?

I’m an international student and I got an email. So I guess they email students outside of the USA.

If my son’s college counselor had received any news, I don’t believe she would share it. It was Sept 10 before she told my son he was a NMSF. :)) My son is sick in bed this morning so I know she won’t be telling him anything in school today and I’m actually glad because I rather his dad and I share in the news, good or bad, with him. I imagine counselor’s would only share it if it is good news because I don’t think any kid wants to hear bad news from their counselor.

I live in upstate NY. I’m really hoping I get mine today but I’m not sure.

I live in SC. Hoping for today, as well.

Relax D day is today for most of you, Students who get ACCEPTED… Congrats!, Students who get differed, acceptt and move on… Georgetown is neither start nor end of a journey… it’s just a small event in life… please look at big picture :)>-

I’m from Los Angeles. If anyone nearby gets a letter can you let me know? Thanks!

I’m from Florida and my mail just came in. Nothing yet :frowning:

Has anybody anywhere received an envelope yet? I’m getting worried that they aren’t in today’s mail after all.

My friend just got hers in the mail (Pennsylvania). We live in the same town but her mail comes around 11 am and mine arrives between 3-5 pm.

We just got the letter today. I am not allowed to open it before my daughter comes home. Based on the weight of the letter I’m guessing she’s accepted. So I’m cautiously exciting!! We are in southeastern PA

We live in Massachusetts and my daughter hasn’t received the mail today. Hope we get it by tomorrow at least.

I took a risk w the SFS essay though I wrote about abortion know GU has a history of being pro-life and anti-contraceptives.
Teacher Recommendation: AP Lang- 9/10. We talked 1-on-1 a lot and I did really well in her class. She’s also an eloquent writer.
AP Psych- 7/10. She liked me and I did well in her class (she probably wrote about how I set the curve for the final and how my test scores improved drastically). I skipped her class quite a bit after the AP test though so I’m not sure how much effort she put in.
Counselor Rec: 6/10. I go to a really big school so she probably didn’t put much effort into mine, we had a good relationship though
Additional Rec: 10/10. Was my Kaiser internship director, really good writer and we had a close relationship
Interview: good, we connected well and she was only a few years older so it was easy to talk to her, was prepared for most of her questions
