Georgetown FLL

I'm just about done applying to Georgetown but I've come to a fork in the road. I don't know if I should apply to the FLL or just Georgetown College. I'm pretty sure that I want to major in Linguistics (my essay for the GTWN is about the linguistic history of Japanese), but I don't feel like I have the requirements. I haven't taken a German subject test which is the only other language I know at an intermediate level. I transferred to another school in junior year that didn't have German. It's been two years since that (I'm in the middle of a gap year) so I feel like I'm slowly losing my grasp of the language. I did take a year of Latin at my new school where I had a grade of 99.5 for the year, but I didn't take another year because I didn't really like the teacher and because I was starting to teach myself Japanese (which I am still doing).

I am at an odd point. I'm really passionate about Linguistics, but I don't think I'll be accepted. Any guidance would be appreciated!

I also applied for linguistics! I have studied 7 foreign languages so far and I actually like grammar (lol). I find evolution of language (especially Romance languages), language acquisition, and multilingualism, etc. so interesting. Considering the deadline was 2 months ago, I’m assuming you don’t need advice/guidance anymore hahah but the topic of your essay sounds awesome. What did you end up selecting, FLL or undeclared?
