I am trying to decide between Georgetown and USC. I got the Trustee Scholarship at USC (full tuition), and though I got good financial aid at Georgetown, it's not as much, plus with travel costs (I'm from the Bay area) it would be more. I'm in at SFS, which is exactly what I want to do, so Georgetown would be the best for that obviously. I love California though and it would be hard to leave. (No one I know is in DC). Also I'm concerned that at SFS I wouldnt be able to study anything else, whereas USC encourages people to double major, take minors, etc. Any advice?

I don't think the SFS is as narrow as you make it out to be. I visited Gtown a couple weekends ago and heard that it was possible to be in the SFS and do plenty of other things, too. One girl talked about having a friend who was in the SFS while also a Pre-Med student. He/she is probably working her tail off but if that combination is possible, I'd imagine just about anything could work.

Plus, I think going somewhere where you don't know anyone is a positive. Get out to DC, experience something different while still maintaning all the strong friendships you have in Cali.

I definitely say Georgetown, unless the difference in the money is pretty drastic. If it is, you can't go wrong with USC. It's a great school and they have solid Int'l relations, from what I hear.
