Hi all,
I’ve heard that the Georgetown STEM majors are a bit worse than many of the other top schools (ex stanford, princeton, harvard etc etc) is that true? Also, does anyone know if the acceptance rate for STEM majors is higher, about the same, or lower than the overall acceptnace rate?
Thanks

Georgetown is known for the foreign service school, and so for that reason STEM majors don’t get as much publicity, but I would argue that because it’s a smaller program, you actually get to do more unique things. At bigger schools, you’ll have more people to compete with, but at Georgetown there are more opportunities for you to pursue what you’re interested in. As for acceptance rates, because STEM is split between the College and the NHS, it really depends which one you’re applying to. Georgetown publishes the individual acceptance rates of their schools, and you can look that up for reference. Overall though, it varies by maybe 1-2%, at most.
