Computer Science

Okay, before you guys rip me apart, I know that intended major is not even close to significant enough to be a hook...

BUT>> would Georgetown be looking for people interested in Computer Sciences since it is not a very popular major there??? Could that help me with admissions, especially considering I have high math scores and experience with computer sci.??? Also, how bad is the computer science at Georgetown? is it worth it? The only reason why im looking at Georgetown because of the interns and jobs in the DC area.

Can i please get some input from CS majors at georgetown

Thanks!!

You apply to the school alone, not the major. No.

Not a compsci major, but my understanding is GU’s compsci is pretty subpar compared to other schools of its caliber.

Probably saying compsci was your intended major would help in admissions.

I would look to Carnegie Mellon, MIT, or some other engineering school if you want to to do Computer Science. The program here isn’t horrible, but as someone said, it’s pretty subpar compared to the above mentioned schools.
