Hey all...let me know what you think. I'm a freshman at Univ. of Delaware honors program and will likely have between a 3.6 and 3.75 by the end of the semester. High school G.P.A. was a 4.8 out of a 5.2 scale. Hospital volunteer, wind ensemble, nat'l honors society, tri m music honors society clarinet choir, legislative intern, legal intern, democratic party intern, photo technician at pharmacy....
college work includes college democrats, sailing team, freshman fellow, which is a fairly demanding position obtained by interview and application procedure. its all about helping other freshman acclimate to college and we also plan events at our weekly meetings.

i have a 32 on the act's, would rather not submit my sat's since they are a bit lower and GU says ACT's in lieu of the Sat's are ok...any thoughts on submitting the ACT by itself? Also have several AP 5's and 4's....

WAs not admitted directly out of high school, i came from a very competitive high school that sent about 12 or 13 applications from my senior class to GU. like I said, I"m in the honors program here and want GU to know they are still my first choice..will that help? Also, my father graduated from there in 1984 and I'm not sure if that helps...???

I'm applying as a medieval studies major, and over the winter, I am doing research with a professor at Stony Brook university near my house on long island.
In addition to the professor rec, I have an opportunity to get 2 more recommendations...one from a county legislator I interned with, and one from the chairwoman of my local democratic party. Is that overkill? I hope its ok to send these recs, since they both will have strong things to say about me..
Many thanks!!
